PMU FOR EYEBROWS

The eyebrows in particular play a major role in the appearance of your face and your facial expressions. It is important that your eyebrows match the look you want to radiate. An eyebrow that is neutral at rest – so not too straight, or too high or too low, or too light or too dark – gives you a beautiful, fresh look. Not everyone is naturally blessed with such eyebrows and many people have thin hairy eyebrows, bald patches, or very light eyebrows. Thanks to the techniques we use, we can create the right eyebrows for all skin and hair colors – including blonde eyebrows and dark skin!

SEMI-PERMANENT MAKE-UP FOR EYEBROWS

At the Amsterdam Cosmetic Clinic we offer various types of PMU for eyebrows:

  • Ombre Brows
  • Powder Brows
  • Combination brows
  • Microblading

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICROBLADING AND OMBRE BROWS?

Microblading simulates hairs with a manual tattoo pen; ombre involves the application of soft shading using a machine tattoo pen. Both techniques are applied lightly and superficially in the skin. They therefore look very natural and fade away within one to two years. This is also the main difference with a real tattoo, where the pigments are applied deep into the skin and therefore do not disappear and can look ugly after a few years!

TYPES OF PMU FOR EYEBROWS

OMBRE BROWS

With the ombre technique, we apply layers of pigment in the upper layers of the skin in order to create the most natural shading. The great thing about this technique is that the eyebrows become slightly more prominent, and we can also create full eyebrows for people who have almost no eyebrows of their own. This technique is also better for women with oily skin. The color doesn’t turn gray as quickly. Ombre brows start lighter near your nose and get darker towards the tail, which creates an ombre (gradual) effect.

The eyebrows tend to become lighter after nine to eighteen months, so they usually need a touch-up once a year.

POWDER BROWS

With the powder brow technique, we apply layers of pigment in the upper layers of the skin in order to create the most natural shading. The great thing about this technique is that the eyebrows become slightly more prominent, and we can also create full eyebrows for people who have almost no eyebrows of their own. This technique is also better for women with oily skin. The color doesn’t turn gray as quickly. The difference with ombre brows is that the color is even throughout the eyebrow.

The eyebrows tend to become lighter after nine to eighteen months, so they usually need a touch-up once a year.

MICROBLADING

Microblading is a revolutionary technique that we use to create natural-looking eyebrows. Using natural pigments, we apply wafer-thin, hair-like lines. These pigment lines retain their natural color and gradually disappear over the course of one to two years. After six to twelve months, the eyebrows become lighter and require a touch-up. This technique is recommended if you have stable, young, non-sensitive or red skin. It is not recommended if you have oily skin with pimples or other skin problems.

COMBINATION BROWS

This technique is a combination of ombre and microblading. We use the microblading technique at the tip of the eyebrow near the nose, and we use the ombre technique in the middle and at the tail of the eyebrow.
